Spirit of Family
Family was vital in the distant past when our ancestors hunted with bows and arrows and spears. The family was a powerful unit of interweaving energy from different members, old and young along with the animals that shared their lives.
The tribe was a unique joining of many family units and animals into a greater whole and for the benefit of each.
The shaman saw clearly that each was family, each human and animal was stronger because of kinship with the other.
This card comes to you now to remind you of kinship and shared love and energy fellow humans and animals bring us. Look up and around, even the birds in the trees sing a song for you as you walk by.
Spirit of Love
Patience is love. Patience to recognize the all-encompassing love that is all around us, even if we do not share in it directly.
But when we do share in it, it is swirling and emotional, sudden and dynamic. Love is a paintbrush on a canvas that shows a different landscape than the one we thought we would create when we made the first brush stroke.
The card is a message to be open to receive and give love. It means to be open to place your hand over your heart at the end of the day and say to yourself, “I love you.”
When you love yourself and are open to love in all its suddenness and strangeness, love will come to you and lift you up. Be careful though not to judge love, do not censor or discriminate against who sends the love. Accept what is given to you, in the way and form it is given.
